Course Date
30th December 2024

5:57 pm
Course Location
There’s something rather magical about spending time in the great outdoors. Immersed in nature, this family bushcraft day gives you the opportunity to disconnect from technology and reconnect with the natural environment and each other.
Set in the heart of the National Forest, just outside of Melbourne, Derbyshire, our woodland site gives you and your family the opportunity to learn new skills, have fun and spend important time together.
During the day you’ll get to:
- Build your own weatherproof shelter from woodland materials you gather
- Learn fire lighting techniques and try your hand at lighting your own fire
- Make string from natural materials
- Make a pot hanger for the campfire
- Sample some tasty wild food
About the instructor
Dave Watson has devoted his life to using his bushcraft skills to help develop, train or mentor people from all walks of life. He spent ten years working for outdoor activity centres, before setting up Woodland Survival Crafts in 1995.
Dave’s passion for ancient survival skills, or ‘bushcraft’ as it has become known, stems from his teenage years when he spent much of his time wandering around Britain in semi-wild places trying to live off the land. His passion is infectious and his knowledge is endless.
