Designed for experienced practitioners of Bushcraft who wish to take their Bow Drill competence to a much deeper level with the end result being that you create fire with just your knife, saw and the resources you have in the woodland you are taken to.

Taken over two weekends you will look to refine your understanding and technique to a place where you are comfortable creating an ember blindfolded. Recognising how to make your own kit from a variety of materials without compromising the effeciency. You will also be creating your own cordage from natural resources and grasping the subtle but important differences this creates. In addition to all of this you will start to grasp the significance of your psycology recognising that being very real with yourself in order to stay calm is every bit as vital as the individual skills.

The second part is where final preparations are made so that you can get yourself fully ready for the final day.

Tuning in to the woodland becomes so crucial as you will be accertaining how to read your surroundings in order to fulfill the task ahead. By reading the weather you will be able to decide the critical questions of whether you gather the tinder or string material first before systematically creating each of the other components.
